Yuki Nagato Ouka Kasamochi Bijin Ukiyo-e Woodblock Print is the second installment in the 2020-2021 ukiyo-e series, following the “A Tour of Summer, 15498 Views Haruhi Suzumiya” woodblock print. which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the theatrical release of “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” movie and the 15th anniversary of the TV anime series.

This woodblock print features a special illustration drawn during the release of  The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie, in which Nagato is wearing a glamorous kimono with a Japanese umbrella in hand. A row of cherry blossom and plum trees are in the background, depicting Nagato in a spring day in full bloom. The Ouka Kasamochi Bijin ukiyo-e also has a classic name, adding a Japanese feel to the masterpiece.

Hand-carved by Shoichi Kitamura and printed by Masahito Nakayama, all are handmade so no two are exactly alike. Different color alignments, uneven coloring, or a little wrinkled paper can be seen on the products, but that is one of the major features of woodblock printing. Please enjoy its unique characteristics. 

Woodblock (unframed) measures approx 8.66″ W x 13.39″ H and is made of washi*, wooden plywood, and paper. Please make sure to store in a cool and airy place and to also avoid direct sunlight. *Does not include actual woodblock seen in video.

*Washi is Echizen Kizuki Bousho, the finest traditional Japanese paper made by a living national treasure, Ichibei Iwano Echizen.
